WE WANT YOU!
It’s called the “Great War”, immortalized in our national imagination through books and movies. But how much do we really know about what it was like to live through World War II?
The University of North Texas’ Willis Library and Rare Book Room is offering a unique one-day workshop for Gifted and Talented High School students to address just this topic. Read actual war correspondence between a WWII soldier and friends and family back home, handle exciting one-of a-kind documents such as Posters and Prints, and listen to original sound recordings by leaders from the time. Get a glimpse of life in America during World War II.
